GeoLOG - Interactive Geological Mapping of Poland
GeoLOG is an Android application that provides interactive geological mapping of Poland. The program is developed by PGI-NRI and is free to use. It falls under the category of Education & Reference.
The application provides access to the Central Geological Database (CBDG), which is the largest collection of digital data relating to Earth sciences in Poland. The database is maintained and developed by the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute. The CBDG is responsible for collecting and sharing various types of information in the field of geology and related sciences.
GeoLOG uses the spatial data server of CBDG to provide all the geological data in the application. The data is also available as WMS and WFS services on the Portal CBDG. The program is an excellent tool for anyone interested in geology and related sciences.
It is important to note that the application is currently being updated to allow it to be used on devices with newer versions of Android.
